Since its founding in 1972, the Bear Backers have been an integral part of the growth and success of Cal Athletics. More than 7,700 Golden Bear alumni and fans show their support each year through the generous donations Cal Athletics. These donations go directly to support Cal’s 27 men’s and women’s sports and help in the continued national success of our program.
