The Calling Center at Cal is a hub for supporting and extending UC Berkeley’s excellence.
Support for Cal comes through a variety of ways, from direct mail and advertising campaigns to the online Give to Cal gateway. Not to be overlooked is the vital role played by the direct fundraising of the Calling Center.
From Monday through Thursday evenings and on weekends, student callers from across the campus converge on the Calling Center and extend their enthusiasm for Cal over the phone lines. They represent the diverse backgrounds, majors, and interests that make Cal students exceptional. They exude Cal spirit, spread the latest news about campus, and appeal for support from every corner of the globe.
More than 15,000 alumni, parents, students, and friends of the university respond to the call.
Because of the Calling Center and the efforts of student callers, Cal raises more than $2 million each year from more than 15,000 alumni, parents, students, and friends of the university.
